How is Ultra-Luxury different from Luxury?
In the hotels and the arrangements: heritage hotels and suites, more unhurried days, and options such as a private dahabiya charter, all confirmed in your written proposal. The table above compares the two.
Which hotels are used?
Hotels such as Marriott Mena House at the pyramids and the Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at The First Residence, Al Moudira in Luxor and the Old Cataract in Aswan, which is open while renovation work continues. The Winter Palace in Luxor is closed for restoration until 2027, so it is not offered.
Which Nile vessels?
Ships such as The Oberoi Zahra and The Oberoi Philae, or a Nour El Nil dahabiya, subject to their sailing dates. We compare them for your dates before you choose.
Can we charter a whole dahabiya?
Yes, where a vessel is free for your dates. A private charter gives your group the whole boat and its crew; the route between Esna and Aswan stays the same.
Can any journey be made ultra-luxury?
Yes. Every journey in the Luxury collection can be quoted with the ultra-luxury hotels and vessels shown on its page, subject to availability.
Can special access be arranged?
Some visits beyond the standard ticket need separate permits. We only include them once they are confirmed in writing; they are never promised in advance.
Are domestic flights included?
No. Domestic flights are booked and paid separately, at every level.
