Questions

Before you ask.

What makes these Egypt tours luxury?

Four things, all named in your written proposal: luxury hotels in each city, such as The St. Regis Cairo, a licensed guide for every visit who works only for your group, your own vehicle and driver, and a five-star Nile cruise or a dahabiya on the river.

Are these journeys private?

Yes. Your guide, vehicle and driver are for your group alone, and the guided visits are private. On a Nile cruise the ship itself is shared with other guests.

Which hotels do you use?

In Cairo, hotels such as The St. Regis Cairo, the Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza and Marriott Mena House; on the Nile, ships such as The Oberoi Philae. Each journey page names its hotels and the alternatives.

How many days do I need?

The journeys here run from 5 to 11 days. Seven or eight days cover Cairo and a Nile cruise between Luxor and Aswan; ten or eleven add Abu Simbel, a dahabiya or a few days on the Red Sea.

When is the best time to go?

October to April is the most comfortable season, and the busiest. Summer days in Luxor and Aswan are very hot, so touring starts early. For winter dates, the Nile vessel is the first thing to book.

Are domestic flights and tips included?

No. Domestic flights are booked and paid separately, and tips are not included. Every journey page lists tips, and any domestic flight it uses, under Not included.

Why is there no price on the page?

The cost depends on your dates, hotels, room type and group size. We send a written proposal with the full price, what it includes and the booking terms.

Can a journey be changed, or made ultra-luxury?

Yes. The length, the hotels and the pace can all be adjusted before you confirm, and every journey can be quoted with the ultra-luxury hotels and Nile vessels shown on its page, subject to availability.
